A Legacy Built on Sincerity & Faith
Founded over three decades ago, Masjid Al Humaidi was built through the sincere efforts, sacrifices, and donations of local community pioneers who envisioned a home of worship and Islamic guidance for future generations.

Establishment of Initial Prayer Space
Masjid Al Humaidi was founded in 1995 by local neighborhood elders led by Al-Haj Al-Humaidi. Starting as a modest tile-roofed prayer hall accommodating 50 families, it established daily 5-time congregational prayers for the surrounding community.
Main Complex & Madrasa Establishment
Following rapid community growth, the main 2-story concrete prayer complex was constructed. Madrasa Al-Humaidi was officially inaugurated, offering structured Quranic recitation, Tajweed, and Hifz education to over 100 neighborhood children.
Sisters' Gallery & Welfare Office Opening
A dedicated Sisters' Prayer Gallery with separate sound-isolated entrance and ablution facilities was constructed. Simultaneously, the Masjid Social Welfare Committee was established to streamline Zakat distribution and emergency family relief.
Free Janazah & Mortuary Care Facility
The masjid acquired a dedicated Janazah hearse vehicle and constructed a free 24/7 Ghusl washing and shrouding facility, providing dignified Islamic burial assistance to bereaved families at zero cost.
Masjid Premium Digital Transformation
Launched the Masjid Premium web platform featuring live digital prayer schedules, online member registration portal, dynamic service request applications, and PayHere online Sadaqah giving gateways.
Present Day & Future Vision
Today, Masjid Al Humaidi proudly serves over 2,500+ congregants daily, supporting 150+ students in Madrasa Al Humaidi, and managing multi-channel welfare initiatives across Sri Lanka.
